Manitoba Aerospace has announced the appointment of Beverlie Stuart as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2026.
Bev brings extensive experience in organizational leadership, workforce and business development, and building partnerships across Manitoba. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Business Development and Community Initiatives at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) and completed her second term as Chair of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce.
Bev succeeds Wendell Wiebe, who is retiring after 17 years as CEO of Manitoba Aerospace.

EnviroTREC joins Manitoba Aerospace in welcoming Bev Stuart to her new role. EnviroTREC’s leadership has had many opportunities to work with Bev over the past 15+ years, particularly during her time at MITT.
Bev has been an excellent representative of her institution and has built an impressive record of working across organizational boundaries. Her experience includes collaboration with industry and the private sector, newcomers and immigrant communities, Indigenous organizations, NGOs and other community partners. That ability to bring different interests together should serve Manitoba Aerospace well as the industry continues to grow and change.
The leadership transition also gives us an opportunity to offer a very big Thank You to Wendell Wiebe.
For 17 years, Wendell provided steady leadership and stewardship to Manitoba Aerospace. He has become a familiar and trusted colleague throughout Manitoba’s aerospace community and elsewhere. At EnviroTREC, we have greatly appreciated his support, his willingness to collaborate, and, above all, the collegial way he worked with us over the years.
Organizations such as Manitoba Aerospace depend on people who can bring companies, governments, educational institutions and other partners together around common interests. Wendell did that exceptionally well. We note that Wendell provided significant leadership in our Manitoba Aerospace Research & Technology Committee – Technology Road Mapping Exercises of 2014 and the follow-on redux of 2017.
EnviroTREC has thoroughly enjoyed working with Wendell and the Manitoba Aerospace team over this time. We thank Wendell for his many years of service to Manitoba’s aerospace community and wish him the very best in retirement.
And to Bev — congratulations. We look forward to continuing our work together in her new role.
