After over 10 years as the Executive Director of EnviroTREC, David Simpson is retiring effective July 8th, 2021. David wishes to thank all those in the Manitoba aerospace community that have been instrumental in the progress achieved by EnviroTREC.
Kim Olson is joining EnviroTREC as the new Executive Director. Kim is well known in the Manitoba aerospace community through his many years with StandardAero as their Executive- Senior Vice President, Engineering and Quality. Kim holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Manitoba.
Kim has been a strong supporter of technology development which aligns perfectly with his new role with EnviroTREC. In terms of community involvement, Kim is the past Chair and Board Member of Manitoba Aerospace. He has also served on the Boards of the Aerospace Industries of Canada, the Consortium For Aerospace Research and Innovation, CME Manitoba, and the Manitoba Industrial Technology Centre. For his accomplishments, Kim has been recognized with a Manitoba Aerospace All-Star Award.
